What is your life's major theme?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 31, 2008:
Life definitely has a soundtrack; and, I have to say, I hear music. So, my current theme is really ongoing and is a combo of Lubbock or Leave It (Dixie Chicks) and Five Years (David Bowie). The Chicks sing in my head because of their haute attitoode, baby, and the question of whether scary hypocrites throwing rocks at us from the top of a hill think we heathens will go to heaven. The Bowie song is bedrock and has played in the background of my mind practically this entire incarnation. I saw him perform it on the Dinah Shore Show when I was a kid; it was haunting and it really impacted me: one world.
Yeah, I almost hear some of you G-comz folks saying, "Who's Dinah Shore?" So, for minor edification, the picture is of her (she was a singer and talk show host 'n stuff...there's a fan club!).
Anyway, back to the topic...

from the Chicks:
...temptation's strong (salvation's gone) and I'm on my wayyyyy...to hell's half acre...how will I ever get to heaven now?
from Bowie:
...the news guy wept and told us the earth was really dying...cried so much his face was wet, then I knew he wasn't lying....all the fat-skinny people, all the tall-short people, and all the nobody people, and all the somebody people...I never thought I needed so many people...
...five years (struck on my eyes), five years (what a surprise), we've got five years (my brain hurts a lot), we've got five years (that's all we've got)...

I was kneeling and kissing the feet of a priest before some guy threw up all over my spangly uniform then it felt like the end of the world….Jon xx
