Do you pay attention to your dreams?

Sometimes, but I'm still evolving into knowing what they mean. It was only later in life that someone who was into spirit animals asked me if I had ever had animal dreams. I said I hadn't - never dreamed up any real animals (lots of monsters, sure!). But, I dreamed of a giant spider as a child and it communicated with me telepathically to come to it (all the other kids stayed back). I walked over and leaned in so it could tell me a secret (consciously, however, I don't know the secret).

Then there was that darn Hyena last year that walked through walls (...?!... yep. Hyena. I had to look it up in an animal book because you don't see hyenas every day). Her beautiful, brown eyes had looked into mine (telepathy again, trying to tell me...something). Apparently, the hyena represents feminine power (I looked that up, too). Her charge is "...reclaim your power or remain weak forever" (yikes!).

Some stuff feels like more than a dream. Yeah, like the time I was whirling through this system of liquid-walled tunnel tubes (even tho' Stargate hadn't been created yet, the wormhole effect is exactly what it looked like! Weird!) People were popping in and out of offshoots of the tube tunnels and I zigged when I really knew I should have zagged and ended up encountering this chick with waves of energy coming off of her (she was clearly trying to dampen her power). She came out of the darkness w/ a big smile & arms open wide to embrace me (that freaked out everybody that I told; the Christians insisted that it was Satan - I have to say, tho', nothing about her energy frightened me and I could see that she was making a huge effort to maintain that situation).

She told me that I had a higher and lower self (and used her arms to show that they were struggling against each other) and so I couldn't "move." She also kept telling me that she had another name (I understood that to be her spirit/power name; she never did tell me her mundane name); but, she couldn't tell me because I wasn't ready to hear it...."yet."

What is the dream state, this other realm on consciousness, this band of wavelengths that we see through multi-dimensional lenses when we only exist in 3? ...or do we?
