What does your horizon look like?

Posted on Sep 4th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 04, 2008:

Hmmm.....it looks like a hotbed of decisions in the right direction. Wait, is "look" the right word? It feels like manifesting thoughts consecrated by the fires of creation & evolution. How gloriously they brand my soul (I can withstand the burning heat of truth for the promise of enlightenment)!

Ah, perhaps, truth isn't hot at all; but, cold as the cosmos, yet it burns all the same. It leaves a tattoo...the mark of the infinite mind...hmmmm....

Do you think more about the past or the future?

Posted on Sep 5th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 05, 2008:

Most of my time is spent looking toward the future. The things in the past are important in terms of the lessons (good & bad) and motivational memories (good & bad) that they provide (so, sometimes, they need to be revisited). But there is so much to be done and so many things that can happen and I find that exciting and re-energizing!

Sunday's Inner Dialog (assisted by the Cosmic Tarot)

Posted on Sep 8th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky

Yesterday was such a beautiful day and I was reading Pathways magazine and came across an article about using tarot cards, not so much for prediction, but to open a dialog with yourself. Well, I happen to have a Cosmic (of course) Tarot deck and was drawn to do a simple dialog (I fell in love with Norbert Losche's artwork on this deck). I shuffled the cards in the front yard in the bright, but setting sun, taking in the scenery of all the trees, then I selected 3 cards.

I'm not a tarot reader; but, it did create a meaningful inner dialog:

The current reality - Three of Swords: Swords are my home suit (according to the body & soul encyclopedia and the prez of the psychic society in New Orleans whom I encountered in front of the St. Louis Church in le vieux carre). I saw the card and said, "oooh! I'm diggin' that!" It speaks to alienation, conscious insight & decisive realization (yep, I decisively realize that I am alienated from many folks).  I do understand their fear of being rejected & different; but, it's such an odd thing for me to see them in the act of denial. Maybe it's easier on the soul to pretend that everything is ok than face the truth that it is not. It's a hard road on the way to being "real."  -- and, who will love us when we're real? Alas, we must be strong enough to love ourselves first...to not be afraid. So much of our current reality is a fear-based one. We must see beyond the lies of pretense.

The solution - Ace of Cups: Of course! An oveflowing cup is symbolic in my consciousness. I express my feelings of energy in terms of a filled or depleted cup and see the cup in my mind when I ponder such things. I knew it was abundance. So, the solution to the current reality is to bring more joy into one's life? Yes, to make a change so that I may more freely create & fulfill. The late Robert Caldwell said that one has to surround one's self with "authentic" folks so that one does not get sucked up into the pretense, the discord of unhappy pretenders that say "It's OK" when, in their minds, they're running around in a circle, screaming & pulling their hair out (well, and you are who you hand with). Many people seem to behave as if there's a lot of fear in their hearts. The authentic self shouldn't be afraid like that because the end result is not love, but hostility. Well, and a lot of "posing." As Caldwell would also say, the real folks express; the posers impress. Impressing constricts the flow of chi unnaturally thereby reflecting an untrue self & limiting fulfillment. In other words, unless you get real, how can you find true joy, true fertility/creativity & true destiny borne out of true expression? (hmmm...how very Tao....)

The Outcome of the Solution - Six of Cups: "Effortless harmony, recovered joy, renewal longing, uncontrolled emotions..." Hm. How very interesting! Unconstricted chi. I do need to be more "uncontrolled" and I do feel that a change in careers where I can be more of my authentic, expressive self is necessary (and not be surrounded by so many people that behave as if things are ok & logical when they aren't because I think they're afraid of the ramifications, then people think I'm weird if I say what I know they had to be thinking!).  I had already seen this decisive reality a few weeks ago! So, there ya go; more joy is on the way!

I thought for sure the death card (for transformation) would be one of the three selections. It wasn't, you say? Well, as I was shuffling the cards to put them away (I'm a terrible shuffler), one card popped out. It was the only card that popped out of the deck and I would have just stuck it back in but it flipped over. Yep, never one to disappoint, it was the Death card (I was expecting you!).

International Peace Day – September 21st, 2008

Posted on Sep 9th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky
Peace doves fly in the grounds of the historic Hazrat-i-Ali mosque, in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, as part of the activities in observance of the International Day of Peace. The Peace doves are part of the campaign launched by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) entitled, "What will you do for Peace".

~ Just a heads-up regarding a day of recognition as to the importance of peace worldwide. A day to engage in practical acts of peace:

"I call for a day of global ceasefire: A 24-hour respite from the fear and insecurity that plague so many places. I urge all countries and all combatants to honor a cessation of hostilities. I urge them to ponder the high price that we all pay because of conflict. I urge them to vigorously pursue ways to make this temporary ceasefire permanent."
(Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary General).

Where are you right now?

Posted on Sep 19th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 19, 2008:

Hey, is that a trick question? You realize that now I can't do my SQL coding because my consciousness has been completely bumped out of programming mode & left-brain activity.

I have no idea where I am. I thought I was in my office; but, now I'm not sure. I think my brain is over by the whiteboard, but the rest of me is in my magnetically-padded chair.

Well now, no...I could be anywhere, or everywhere...or nowhere. Or is that "elsewhere?" Wait, where is that place that you are when the axes of time & space are inverted due to rotating heavy celestial matter?

Ah, yes....

A worldline through a light cone in 2D space plus a time dimension.

What does Autumn mean to you?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 23, 2008:

It's the harvest! A ripe Earth Mother about to take a long nap, but all the while, she is working to germinate new growth to emerge in the spring.

So now, nature is cooling (as it does before we get sleepy), before we move from the current configuration into the formlessness of the long nights, to be re-energized before another new beginning...and the cycle continues...

the walk (part 2) by you.
processional to honor the ancestors, as the trees begin to show vibrant leaves and the shadows begin to grow long ~

What section would you add to the newspaper?

Anahata_daily

Everyone's answers were so inspiring. So, here's my contribution: a snapshot of the front page of the currently fictitious "Anahata Daily" ~ A special inspirational thanks to Mila, Dan, Tom,  JustDave and whoever suggested the "asking for forgiveness" section.

A slightly cleaner view of the Daily is in the photos section.

Living in Amerika

Posted on Sep 29th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky

...yep. as the economy crashes & burns because of greed and pseudo-ideology ~

Well, just in case your head is down (watching your step, trying not to fall into the abyss of thoughtlessness): Heads Up!

Living Color - Cult of Personality
                     (Lyrics)

Look in my eyes, what do you see?

The Cult of personality ---

I know your anger, I know your dreams;
I've been everything you want to be ---
...I'm the cult of personality.

Like Mussolini and Kennedy;
I'm the cult of personality.

Neon lights, a Nobel prize;
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies.
You don't have to follow me;
Only you can set me free ---

I sell the things you need to be;
I'm the smiling face on your TV ---
...I'm the cult of personality.

I exploit you ---

...still you love me...

    I tell you one and one makes three!

    I'm the cult of personality ---

Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi,
I'm the cult of personality, the cult of personality,

...the Cult of personality ---

Neon lights, a Nobel prize;
When a leader speaks, that leader dies ---

You don't have to follow me...

                 ...Only you can set you free...

You gave me fortune,
You gave me fame,
You gave me power in your God's name ---

I'm every person you need to be!
I'm the cult of personality!

When was the last time you fell?

Posted on Sep 30th, 2008 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 30, 2008:

Physically? In the midwest snow. It's been a while because I tend to have good balance; I had to walk on uneven ice most of the time in Minnesota. I fall "soft" ~ it's like a slow motion "poof" and I just get up.

I lived in a highrise on a slight hill in Minneapolis proper that was surrounded by a sheet of ice in the winter. I'd have to get a running start to make it up the hill to grab the doorknob before I slid back down the hill (sometimes, that took a few tries); I never fell, though. It was like ice surfin' ---
