International Year of Astronomy - Photo/Short Story Call

Posted on Jun 12th, 2009 by scribe sky : Hemet Neter scribe sky
As part of the International Year of Astronomy, the Smithsonian Photo Initiative is taking submissions this month for the theme "Seeing Other Worlds" via their website, Click! Photography Changes Everything.

Submit a photo that you've taken (or have permission to reproduce) and 500-word or less story to go along with it that relates to the unseen or unfamiliar in the picture (specifications are on the Click website). If you don't take photos, it's cool. There are stunning images available to inspire you to write from the Chandra X-Ray Observatory.

Anyway, my submission is called Forever Tied to the Heavens, inspired by a photograph that I took at the National Cathedral.
