This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 16, 2009:

3 am...and I'm thinking that it might be because I was born at 3:04 am. It seems to be my time and everything is clear in that moment. I few nights ago, I woke up at 3 am and started listening to the new Rodrigo y Gabriela CD and ended up ecstatically dancing in the dark intil the CD was over. Then I went out on the porch to breathe in what was left of the pre-dawn hours of darkness.

How do you say no?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 17, 2009:

I don't find it very difficult to say "No." There is a lot of pressure to conform and do what others want; but one must stand one's ground in many cases. I believe that keeping it short and simple, with a smile on your face, leaves little doubt of your conviction.
